Step into the boots of an adventure… Our amazing “living art” animal displays make NGALA a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Adding to the entertainment factor, their presence creates an interactive, educational experience. Their beauty adds greatly to the decor and amazes our guests!

The Chimpanzee & Antique Land Rover
People have always had a fascination with chimpanzees. Their adorable faces and human-like actions always steal your heart! Their never-ending antics and quirky personalities hold your attention.

The chimpanzee is no exception as it plays upon an authentic 1965 Land Rover. The Land Rover, looking like it just returned from a safari. Displayed behind a protective barrier, they are surrounded by lush tropical foliage along with various props including an airplane propeller, crates, chests, and trunks. The set is enhanced with dramatic lighting. A uniformed handler interacts with the chimpanzee and answers all of your guests’ questions.

Guests can pose beside the handlers for a great primate photo opportunity!

Lexus the Spotted Leopard
Big cats have captivated people since the beginning of time. Through the course of history people have been intrigued by their presence, grace and power. Oftentimes they were worshipped as Gods.

Lexus, an endangered 90-lb., spotted African Leopard, provides our guests with the opportunity to safely come in close proximity to this big cat. Professionally enhanced with theatrical lighting, Lexus rests on a pedestal behind a protective barrier accompanied by one of our interactive handlers. She is surrounded by lush tropical foliage and steamer trunks. Guests are amazed by this awesome creature!

Coulter the Giraffe Encounter
Giraffes are stately and have a serene presence. They have a pose that can inhabit your dreams. When you get the rare opportunity to hand-feed a giraffe they will most certainly steal your heart!

Guests will love our amazing giraffe, Coulter. They will be in awe of how close they actually are when he lowers his adorable head and big eyes for a good scratch between the ears! At nearly 15’ tall and growing it’s amazing how elegant such a bizarre-structured creature can be.

Coulter is safely positioned behind an authentic stick-built enclosure that allows him the opportunity to receive a treat from guest, allowing for a wounderful photo opportunity! This also provides safe distance yet a close encounter. Safari-geared handlers instruct our guests, to hand out treats, and interact with Coulter. As always, they are happy to answer any questions.

Zeus the Zebra
Zebras have always been the essence of adventure! The British tried to tame them in the 1800’s. They were unable to domesticate them and decided to stick to horses. The black and white stripes evoke images of movement even when standing still. They are awesome creatures!

Zeus, the Zebra, is a Grants Zebra. He is truly impessive and magnificent creature! While accompanied by one of our handlers, Zeus is strategically positioned behind a protective barrier. Guest enjoy his presence while his handler interacts with him, answers any questions guests many have.

Sultan the Camel
Camels have been domesticated for over 4,000 years. From Africa, there have not been any camels found in the African wild for several thousand years. There are, however, a few hundred thousand wild in Australia. These were relocated there by man. There are fossilized remains of camels found in parts of North America. Most of the camels residing in the United States are direct descendants of camels brought to the United States via the United States Government. Known as the “Camel Corps”, it is believed that their original tour of duty was to carry surveyors to survey the wild west. They were later used in the Civil War. Camels have a reputation of being nasty and dirty. While this may be true it is more than likely a reflection of their owner, not the camel.

Sultan, the Camel, is an amazing 2,000-pound Dromedary, or one hump camel. He is very gentle and very kind. He is intelligent and has an amazing personality! Bathed and groomed regularly, guests enjoy the direct interaction with him as they provide him with a treat while having their photo taken. Meanwhile the handler interacts with the guests, answering all of their questions.
